Cost Effective
Leverage existing infrastructure, as a POE (power over ethernet) ethernet device, the eIDC only requires one cable to run the door. With a budget of 750ma available for readers, locks and sensors, the entire door can be powered by POE. This lowers the cost of cabling and simplifies installation. Doors are added one at a time, so there's no need to buy a multi door panel you won't fully utilize.
Management is done with software that can be installed on Windows servers and can be virtualized and run in an IT organization's virtual environment without the need to add any hardware.
